Description
The model ST-4872 is a 48" x 72" shaped mobile folding cafeteria table with access from either end of the bench. Pedestal end-leg design means there are no seat crossbars or understructure elements to obstruct access or lessen seating comfort.

Tabletop Supports
Supports are two full-length apron channels, each 1-3/4" deep, made of 16-gauge cold rolled steel, with rounded edges and dressed off fittings at apron end for safety.

Twin Dual Center Legs
Made of 16-gauge, 1" x 1" square tubing and are designed to provide positive, direct support for each half of the table.

End Legs
Consist of round steel tubing with a minimum wall thickness of .072".

Bench Seats
Are 40" x 10" with 10" rounded ends.

Seating
Provides 17" high seating for proper knee clearance from the understructure. Tables are available in 29" or 27" heights.

Plastic Guides
Non-marking plastic guides protect all table-floor contact points.

Casters
Four inch heavy duty, oil-less, ball bearing, swivel types that mount into leg assembly with a stem and socket assembly. Caster stems are mounted into a full bearing socket with 3/16" walls for long life and durability.

Table and Seat Tops
Sheets of high-pressure laminated 45 lb. density particle board core with balanced backing sheets are used on the table and seat tops. Total top and seat thickness is 13/16". Tops and seats are edged with heavy, contoured vinyl T-molding for maximum edge protection during movement to and from storage. The edging is pressed into a housing groove and spot-nailed from below. Alternative edging available. Please consult factory.

Locking
Locks automatically engage in both folded and in-use positions. Locks are easily accessible from both sides of the table.

Legs
Legs, braces and aprons are attached to the underside of the table or bench/seat using full-threaded, hex-head screws with a minimum holding power of 300 lbs. Each screw is machine driven and seated, and the hex-head permits normal maintenance of units if required.

Unitized Construction
Welded steel brackets and fittings solidly join and position legs to channel support aprons and anchor the torsion bar assist mechanism.

Metal Parts Finish
End legs and center bench support are nickel chrome, all other metal parts are powder coated midnight-brown.

Lift Assistance
Provided by concealed torsion bars and extension springs for easy operation throughout the opening and closing process.
